About the Artist

Barry’s career in selling photography equipment eventually led him to developing his own passion for photography, specifically capturing the features and sights of the Pennsylvania railroad. After having started in 1956 with a 35 millimeter camera, Barry now works exclusively with digital images and prints. He beautifully captures the trains, cabooses, mechanical details and tracks in his portrayals of these railroad icons. Several of his photographs are also printed as abstract prints, which add to the aesthetic quality of his work. Barry is also a founding and life member of the Pennsylvania’s Railroader’s Museum in Altoona.
